Do you need a Fiduciary?
At New York financial organizers, we wear a lot of hats. We do a lot of different things for different people, but one thing we really pride ourselves on is being fiduciaries. Hi, I’m Peter Gordon and I’m the president of New York financial Organizers, and we are daily money managers. We help people pay their bills, deal with insurance and deal with all the non-investment side of finances for our clients. Often, we are referred to by attorneys who are looking for help with a fiduciary. So, what does that mean? They might have a client who wants to do an estate plan, but their client doesn’t really trust anybody to be the executor or maybe they don’t have family available to be a trustee, or they pretty much are blanking out on who they could trust to be a power of attorney.
Well, that’s where we come in. So, and I say we, and this is an important distinction. Because I work with my son, Jacob Gordon. And I’m lucky in that respect because I’m very fortunate to be able, to share my life with him in many ways. But he is also a fiduciary, and a lot of people are concerned about hiring a 63-year-old to be a fiduciary, to be an executor of an estate, because what if that person passes away? Well, Jacob is next in line, and being that he his late twenties and is incredibly capable, is a real selling point for us.
So, the world of a fiduciary is something complicated and I would love to talk to you if you have any questions about it. My information is directly to my left. And if you have any questions, please give us a call or an email. I’m also going to have a link to, uh, a document that you can get. If you have questions that you want to ask or read about the answers to within this video. Again, my name is Peter Gordon and I’m the president of New York financial organizers. and I look forward to seeing you at my next video.
