Finding the Right Independent Living Home Can Be Intimidating

The most important part of our work is coordinating with other service professionals. We are experts at organizing personal finances but know other professionals like Trust and Estate Attorneys, Care Managers,  Home Health Care Agencies, and many more. One such industry is a group that advises people on senior living facilities, such as memory care or assisted living. They are not the actual facility but rather consultants that have relationships with these companies and know the specific details about each one.

A great example of working with a consultant is when a client of ours needed to move from her assisted living in Ronkonkoma due to increasing costs. We started speaking to individual facilities but that was not our expertise. We decided to work with Beth Weeks and Paul Cravinho of Senior Living Consultants of New York in the fall of 2019. Originally, they were having a difficult time finding a good fit for our client but this changed not long after the pandemic began. The Club at Briarcliff Manor in Westchester, a beautiful new facility, reached out to Beth and Paul.  Due to COVID, The Club was having trouble filling their available rooms. For this reason, they offered incredible deals for new tenants, which saved our client $3,000 a month in rent the first year and $1,500 a month in rent each year thereafter. We would never have found out about this without Senior Living Consultants.

We specifically network with other members of the geriatric care service industries that can help our clients. It allows us to provide an incredibly valuable service – connecting our clients with a perfect fit for thier needs.
